Cartoe
The first route we recommend is the one that leads to Cartoe beach. This is an approximately 10-kilometer route that winds through Mediterranean scrub and rocky coastline, offering breathtaking views of the crystal clear sea. The route starts in Cala Gonone and runs along a scenic coastal and sometimes dirt road to Cartoe beach. The route is suitable for all levels of experience, but still requires good physical preparation. At the finish there is a kiosk on the beach where you can refresh yourself before returning to Cala Gonone.
Gorroppu Gorge
Another route popular with bikers is the one leading to the Gorropu Gorge, one of the deepest canyons in Europe. This route is very challenging, with a length of about 30 kilometers and an elevation gain of more than 1,000 meters. However, the beauty of the landscape and the challenge presented by the route make it a must-ride destination for experienced mountain bikers.
Cala Luna
Finally, we cannot fail to mention the path leading to Cala Luna beach. This is an approximately 8-kilometer route that winds through Mediterranean scrub and rocky coastline, offering spectacular views of the beach and the sea. The route is suitable for all levels of experience, but still requires good physical preparation.
