Sardinia is an island and the ways to get here are, of course, by ferry and plane.
Here are all different ways to get to Cala Gonone and reach our Biriola Eco Resort or one of the many other holiday apartments we let in the Dorgali area.
Reaching Cala Gonone by Plane
The international airport of Olbia Costa Smeralda is 108 km away and can be reached in about two hours.
The small airport of Tortolì, located 68 km from Gonone and in service only during the summer months, is connected with the cities of Rome, Milan, and Verona by Air Italy.
International companies such as Air Dolomiti and Austrian guarantee flights from some European capitals.
Reaching Cala Gonone by Ferry
If you prefer to travel by boat, you can take advantage of the tourist and commercial ports of Olbia and Arbatax. The port of Olbia Isola Bianca, one of the most important in the Mediterranean, is served by Moby, Snav, GNV and Tirrenia, and recently also by Saremar. The port of Arbatax also offers crossings, exclusively with the Tirrenia company, which sail once a week to Civitavecchia and Genoa.
Cala Gonone also has a small marina where it is possible to find private boats.
Reaching Cala Gonone by car
From Arbatax by car take the SS125 north towards Olbia for about 60 km.
Just before Dorgali, take the SP26 eastbound and after about 6 km you will reach your destination.
To get to Cala Gonone from Olbia, take the SS131 in the direction of Cagliari/Nuoro for about 75 km until the exit to Lula, Bitti, Galtelli, Oliena.
At this point, you will have to take the SP38 for 17 km until the intersection with the SS125 which you will have to follow for 6 km until Dorgali.
From Dorgali, the SP26 eastbound will take you to Cala Gonone after 6 km.
Reaching Cala Gonone by bus
The bus lines are guaranteed by the regional company ARST which makes connections with Nuoro.
From here it is possible to reach the other main localities of Sardinia.
It is also possible to take advantage of a bus rental service, thanks to some private companies that cover connections with the airports of Olbia and Arbatax.
